I have a Sanyo 20" Flatscreen, and it's awesome. The picture looks a lot better on it. The thing about the flatscreen TVs though is that they tend to be a lot deeper than the not-flatscreen TVs.

Yeah Sony does make pretty damn good tvs. And Mcbizzel, that Smokin Joe Stuntaz list is gettin long, people might start complainin that it takes up too much space, lol. But I urge everyone join the SJS! --~

DONT GET GATEWAY. those cost way too damn much. Gateway is aa total ripoff no matter what you buy from them

Well the Gateway is a plasma, right? I don't think that's what he's looking for. I think he's looking for a standard, flat TV, not a plasma.

Man that would be awesome, flat screen and plasma. Those must be as expensive as hell though. And my friend said the same thing about gateway as you prime timer.

42 inch plasma is 2699 dollas...that's horrendous, my 13 inch crappy rca thing was like a hundred bucks four years ago, now it's like 2 cents...i need a bigger tv to play videogames

I saw some of their TVs which are priced alright and look really cool. Just don't know about their picture and sound.

sony makes hella good tvs, and the panasonic ones aren't that bad either...
you should always go around into an electronics store...say, best buy or circuit city before you buy, and take a look around at their stock and see which ones you like and what you would be willing to pay for...that's what i would do, at least...

I'm saving to get a 40" HDTV widescreen DLP TV with 5.1 Dolby Surround for my room, heh heh. Beat that!
I have about $3200 saved up and I'm looking at a Panasonic TV and a Kenwood sound system. I'm also investing in a second 'cube and possibly an XBox with Live! and a gaming quality PC to go with. Btw, the TV has VGA input, so I can hook the computer directly up to the TV.

you're going need more than 3200 to get all that stuff. Don't worry, couple more years and you'll be there.

Well, I'm not going to get it right away, so I'll have more money than I do now, and I'm getting the TV first which costs around $2800 and a $500 sound system to start off. That'll hold me over until I get enough money for the rest.
Do you want a flatscreen or flat panel (flat panel is plasma/LCD)... flat screen is projection HDTV, WEGA etc.

Man Corey, you must have to eat rich, cause to have thaat much money, youd need to crap it all out.

Great idea. if i ever muster up enough money, im getting an LCD or a plain ol high definition set.
Thats why if i won the lotto, i would probally only get a computer for some light web surfing, broadband for it, then get aa totally decked out home theatre system. Xbox, Gamecube,(maybe a PS2... if its lucky :D), 46 inch LCD television, Dolby Digital 5.1 with a couple subwoofers ( i dont care much for bass, but i'll just get it so i can look fancy.), and a top of the line DVD player (The in-box DVD for the Xbox isnt that great.)

If anything, you can probably get them cheap on ebay.

My brother bought a Sanyo 27" flat screen TV, a Sony Home theater system (575 watts and really nice), and a Panasonic DVD player for our room for $750 at Wal-Mart over the summer. It's a really sweet system. Excellent picture and sound with great features.
